Jamwest “Circuit Wheels on Fire” this Sunday: Don’t miss it

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, Jamwest Speedway in association with the Jamaica Race Driver’s Club (JRDC) will be hosting race meet 2 at Jamwest Speedway in Westmoreland, promoted as “Circuit Wheels on Fire”.

General admission is $3,500, children will be $1,000 and Paddock is $6,000. Gates open at 7am.

Junior Barnes, President of the JRDC said, “Fans can expect the same excitement that they got in April at the Easter meet. All the entrants are back. It will be the same exciting circuit racing. We are also working on some surprises and entertainment for the fans.”

He continued,

“RedBull Drift Champions, Nick “Tazz” Barnes and Cleve “Cutta Hype” Ottey, will be at the meet to excite the crowd,” Mr. Barnes said.

Preparation

“Preparation is coming along slowly. Jamwest will turn over the track to us on the Friday before the event. As the organizers, I will have my team there to ensure all necessary checks are completed before Sunday. This includes the marshalling booth, the track and the in-field. Safety is paramount, we want to ensure our marshals are safe,” Mr. Barnes said.

Expectations

“Jamwest has its own crowd from Savannah-La-Mar, Negril and Montego Bay. Jamwest is always upbeat, and we expect a bigger crowd from the last event,” Mr. Barnes said.

He continued,

“I want to send a huge shout-out to our sponsors Jamwest, Jamwest Beach, Negril Home Solutions and West Isle Homes,” Mr. Barnes concluded.
