The French Open will conclude in less than 4 days, yet with every day that passes competition becomes fiercer.
Although week 2 of the French Open has just started, numerous top seeds have already been eliminated from the competition. However, this is expected as there are only 6 days of competition left.
The French Open continues to excite and inspire. As Roland-Garros is set to enter its second week of competition, the best in tennis continue to give their fans an unforgettable experience.
Round 2 was thrilling. Some top 10 players had to fight hard for a spot in Round 3 while others sailed straight through to Round 3 without a hiccup.
It was smooth sailing for seed No.6 Carlos Alcaraz Garfia who took his first round match against Juan Ignacio Londero in straight sets.
He is young but formidable. 19-year-old Carlos Alcaraz Garfia has demonstrated superb skill, accuracy and technique on the courts over the past couple months which has, so far, allowed him to collect 5 ATP titles.
This past weekend the Jamaica tennis team competed in their Group 2 Davis Cup match up against Greece.
After a successful Group 3 run in Panama last year, the Jamaican Davis Cup tennis team will be heading to Athens, Greece to compete against Greece in the first Group 2 draw. The matches will be hosted at the Ace Tennis Club between March 4 – 5, 2022.
A 5-hour thriller is simply what it was. Number 6 seed, Rafael Nadal, and the top seed of the tournament, Daniil Medvedev, struck roars and cheers from the Rod Laver crowd as they put on a tennis display like no other.
